Oral Medicine
Oral Medicine
Oral medicine is a dental medicine specialty that diagnoses and treats the lesions and pathologies of the oral cavity, either the hard tissues (maxillary teeth and bones), moles (gums, mucous membranes, lips and tongue) or the attached structure, such as glands salivary.
The diagnosis is based on clinical observation, palpation and biopsy for anatomopathological analysis.
Oral lesions should receive special attention because they can be a manifestation of systemic diseases caused by diverse causes, such as reactional, infectious, immunological, neoplastic or hereditary.

Oral Medicine
in Orallagos
At Orallagos we believe that the prevention of cancer and oral cavity pathologies is based on a healthy lifestyle, free of tobacco and alcohol abuse. We also recommend regular dental consultation so that an early diagnosis of lesions can be made, preventing more serious pathologies.
In the Orallagos we perform a visual examination of all oral structures and cavity. When a suspicious lesion is observed a biopsy of the lesion may be advised, allowing a specific histological diagnosis.
